UWS has over 100 years’ experience in training engineers. The university came top in Scotland for teaching quality in Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering in The Times Good University Guide 2020 and had a 100% rating for student satisfaction in BEng Aircraft Engineering in the 2021 National Student Survey.

UWS offers MEng (Hons) / BEng (Hons) Aircraft Engineering. This degree, which is delivered at the Paisley Campus, will equip you with the skills and training in demand by the aerospace sector. Designed in partnership with aerospace industry employers, this course includes visits to organisations such as Spirit AeroSystems, British Airways and Woodward.

A number of final year projects are also undertaken in collaboration with industry. The BEng (Hons) course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) under license from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council.

BEng (Hons) Aircraft Engineering

Standard Entry Requirements:

Highers: ABBB (114 UCAS Tariff points), including Maths, plus SQA National 5 Physics (B)

Minimum Entry Requirements:

Highers: BBBB (108 UCAS Tariff points), including Maths, plus SQA National 5 Physics (B)
